Tyler Lee Canaris suffered a skull fracture, a broken eardrum, a broken collarbone and other injuries. He was confined to the hospital for nine days.

In 2023, Canaris filed a lawsuit.

Everett Johnson was 28 years of age at the time of his arrest for this crime.
