Geraldo Lunas Campos was asphyxiated to death by ICE guards.
The 55-year-old had lived in the United States for nearly 30 years before being arrested in Rochester, New York in July 2025 and transferred to Camp East Montana, an ICE detention facility outside El Paso, Texas.
ICE claims the migrant attempted suicide and violently resisted when guards tried to intervene. That’s their story. But the medical evidence and eyewitness testimony tell something different.
