Hawk Lee was a military aerospace engineer for 17 years before opening up Kalbi Burger.
When he was nine years old, Hawk Lee’s family came from South Korea, where one of their special treats was barbecued ribs. Here in the United States, upon their arrival, the big thing was McDonald’s hamburgers. A few decades later, Hawk fused together the Korean barbecue rib with the American classic to come up with Kalbi Burger.
Hawk Lee is married to his partner Tina.
